Adult Community Mental Health

Our Adult Community Mental Health service provides mental health support to adults aged 25-64 years living in the Inner South East of Melbourne.

Clinical service overview

We operate from St Kilda Road Clinic.

Our team can provide assessment, case management, family support, specialist allied health and medical intervention.

We work in partnership with our clients, their families and the community to reduce the impact of mental illness, improve the quality of life for our clients and promote recovery. We aim to deliver accessible care that is of excellent quality and sensitive to the diversity of our community.

Our service includes two major teams:

  • The Mobile Support and Treatment Service (MSTS) provide a range of specialist psychiatric treatment, assertive outreach, intensive rehabilitation and support to adult clients who are experiencing mental illness.
  • The Homeless Outreach Psychiatric Service (HOPS) team provide a range of specialist psychiatric treatment, interventions, assertive outreach and intensive support for adult clients who are experiencing mental illness and homelessness or are at risk of homelessness.

We have a multi-disciplinary team that includes:

  • Psychiatrists and Psychiatry Registrars
  • Nurse Practitioners
  • Mental Health Nurses
  • Social Workers
  • Occupational Therapists
  • Psychologists
  • Carer Peer Workers
  • Consumer Peer Workers
  • Support Workers

We can offer help to people with a range of mental health problems including but not limited to:

  • Mood disorders
  • Schizophrenia and psychosis
  • Anxiety disorders
  • Borderline personality disorder.

We care for people aged 25-64 years who live locally. This includes people located in the City of Port Phillip, the City of Stonnington, part of the City of Glen Eira and part of the City of Melbourne (mainly the Southbank area).
